Enrolment Information

Urrbrae Agricultural High School is a Special Entry School. Neither zone nor sibling rights apply. All students must apply to attend Urrbrae.

Students wishing to enter Urrbrae in Year 8

Entry at Year 8 is determined by a selection process. All applications for Urrbrae must:

  • Include a completed application for Enrolment in Year 8 at Urrbrae cover sheet
  • Address the selection criteria, either in writing, or in any other way which provides evidence which meets the criteria
  • Include a copy of the student’s two most recent school reports
  • Include a $20 non-refundable Administration fee

In addition, applicants give a Student Information Form to their current school for completion. This is returned direct to Urrbrae by the current school. Selection Criteria:

  • A demonstrated interest in and commitment to one, some or all of the schools focus areas of Agriculture, Horticulture, the Environment and Technology.
  • A demonstrated positive attitude toward learning, school and study
  • Participation in a range of co-curricular activities
  • A willingness to join with and build school and community spirit.

Students wishing to enter Urrbrae in Year 9

Applications for Enrolment at Year 9 should include:

  • an Application for Enrolment Cover Sheet: Application for Enrolment Year 9 to 12 2017
  • a copy of your two most recent school reports showing teacher comments (including Semester 1)
  • an Information Form in which you explain why you want to enrol at Urrbrae and how attending Urrbrae will be of benefit to you: Year 9 Application Information form
  • any relevant references which support your application

There are limited opportunities for enrolment at Years 9 to 12.

Students wishing to enter Urrbrae in Years 10 to 12

An information session will be held in June focussing on Senior School options (Years 10, 11 and 12), and in particular on the Urrbrae Specialist SACE Pathway Courses:

  • Agriculture
  • Horticulture
  • Animal Studies
  • Environmental Studies
  • Engineering (CAD/CAM)
  • Automotive
