Urrbrae Agricultural High School is a unique site located in metropolitan Adelaide. This is no ordinary secondary school, having for its use 30 hectares of an outstanding farm for integration with our educational programs.
We promote a culture of inclusion, respect for the environment, and excellence. Our unique facilities allow students and staff to apply the school motto “Science with practice” to everything they learn and do; theoretical knowledge is applied and tested in our curriculum, in our Agricultural Program, and in our Wetland.
Our strategic planning focusses on the development of our students as:
- Responsible environmental citizens
- Passionate rigorous learners
- Active members of the school, local and global communities
- Positive, creative and articulate individuals
- Innovative leaders
Urrbrae enjoys outstanding support from the Agricultural Industry, our parents, teachers and students to make it a “city school with a country feel”. Values such as truth, honesty, and reliability permeate our operations and ensure that students grow and develop within that context.
Our curriculum caters for all students, whether they aspire to further studies at tertiary level, within the context of apprenticeships, or need to build skills to achieve satisfactory levels in numeracy, literacy and problem solving.
We provide a wide range of co-curricular activities to cater for students’ interests in sports, outdoor education, music and drama, as well as student passions for agriculture, animal husbandry, crop production, and more!
I extend to you an invitation to visit Urrbrae Agricultural High School to appreciate both the variety and atmosphere of our unique environment. Open Days and Principal’s Tours are regularly advertised.
