Year 11 Information

Year 11 exams remain cancelled and students will have no lessons from Monday November 23 to Thursday November 26. All year 11 students however will be required to attend school on Friday November 27 for the pre-year 12 information sessions (but they only need attend the sessions that are relevant to them). This will give them time to consider if they have chosen appropriately for 2021. They will also be able to return books and clean out their lockers. Year 11s with work still outstanding will be required to negotiate with their teachers regarding satisfactory completion before finishing their academic year.

Year 7 Parent Transition Evening

Year 7 parent transition evening will now be live streamed from 4.30pm to 5pm on Tuesday November 24 (tomorrow night). Parents/Carers received an email with the video link earlier today.

Transition Day for Year 7s into Year 8

Transition Day for Year 7s into Year 8 has unfortunately been cancelled. As we have students coming from over 80 primary schools, the risk is still deemed too great to go ahead with this event. We are currently investigating alternative ways in which we can support our new students.

Year 12 Formal

We are excited to announce that the Year 12 Formal will go ahead as planned on Thursday night, November 26 on the Urrbrae Green outside the staff room.  All Year 12 parents and students have received a letter outlining the details of the evening. The graduation component will be videoed and shared with parents/caregivers, and students will be able to remain in their formal attire for both events.

Presentation Night

The presentation ceremony will be shifted from the Convention Centre to the Urrbrae Mortlock Hall and will be held on Wednesday December 2nd, from 6.30-8.00pm. It will be for award winners only, and will be live streamed so that parents/caregivers can share in the event. A live stream video link will be sent out to parents of award winners early next week. 2020 Mortlock Scholarship Winners will also be recognised at this event. The traditional Year 12 Graduation component of the Presentation Evening has been moved to the Year 12 Formal.

Mortlock Scholarship Presentation

The Mortlock Scholarship Presentation is now being held as part of the Presentation Night on Wednesday December 2 for Year 10 to 12 students, and Year 9 students will receive their awards at the Year 9 End of Year Assembly on Friday December 4.

Year 9 End of Year Awards Assembly

This will now take place on Friday December 4, with students and staff only allowed to attend due to COVID restrictions.
