The Urrbrae Agricultural High School Library is a focal point of our school; it is a place to study, research and socialise. All students in years 8-10 come to the Library every year to undertake large enquiry units as part of their curriculum. In addition, the Urrbrae Library plays a key role in successfully delivering the Research Project, one of the compulsory elements of the SACE. Along with our physical space, our Virtual Library is versatile and flexible with access to databases, eBooks, audio books and other online resources to assist student research.
Literacy development is one of our key priorities. Our Library holds a comprehensive collection that ranges from the most recent fiction novels, to an extensive variety of graphic novels and an informative non-fiction section. Students can also access over 1300 audio and eBooks at any time, on any device. We cater for all readers, from those at an advanced level to those who need more guidance.
Throughout the year we provide many enrichment activities to encourage students to read and explore what the library has to offer. A large number of students choose to come to the library before school and at lunchtimes. It is a vibrant, friendly, safe place for everyone.
